4D ANATOMY PROGRAM

DISCOVER THE ANATOMY FROM THE FUNCTION

From the clinical and teaching experience of more than 20 years in hand therapy, Vicenç Punsola physiotherapist since 1996 and hand therapist since 1999 has developed the “4D anatomy Program”. A method of studying anatomy based on the “learning by doing” system. This system allows learning anatomy through the study of anatomical models built by the student himself.

Why do we call it 4D ANATOMY?

We have learned anatomy classically from models based on descriptive anatomy. This method often requires memory to retain information. At MAPS Therapy we have wanted the study of anatomy to not only become a fun activity but also a challenge, and that as a reward for learning, the student obtains anatomical models that perfectly reproduce normal movement.

ENJOY THE 4D ANATOMY PROGRAM AND OBTAIN THE ANATOMICAL MODELS YOU NEED IN YOUR CLINIC IN 3 MONTHS. WITH THEM YOU WILL IMPROVE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PEDAGOGY OF ANATOMY. THE IDEAL COMPLEMENT FOR A THERAPY FROM THE BIO-PSYCHO-SOCIAL APPROACH.

  • Anatomy from function: Our brain likes to understand the things it learns and this is what happens with anatomy. It is preferable to understand what you need to move and then look for the structure that allows movement than not to memorize unpronounceable names that are understandable, and after that, understand what they are for.
  • Anatomy in movement: Knowing the anatomy with its normal characteristics both in its kinematics and in its kinetics allows us to understand the physiology of normal and pathological movement. Recognizing movement allows a better understanding of the necessary characteristics of each of the structures.
  • The texture of anatomy: The clinical examination requires a good knowledge of the movement of the anatomical structures but also of other characteristics such as volumes, resistances and deformities. The 4D anatomy program allows you to experiment with the construction of the anatomy. This process allows experimenting with textures such as rigidity or instability, facilitating the understanding of the different pathological patterns.
  • The power of construction: In dissection you can discover the anatomy but at certain times you must destroy it to progress in its observation. Once destroyed, only the images that you have been able to record remain. At MAPS therapy we propose the construction of the anatomy so that at the end of the process the structure remains.

PROGRAMA 4D ANATOMY

This is the definitive training to understand the biomechanics of the hand. In it you will understand the anatomy while you learn to build it. You will enjoy step-by-step explanations and you will understand how from the detail of the structure we can go on to understand kinematics and kinetics. A pedagogical path in the opposite direction to the usual one: from detail to general.

TAKE THE ANATOMY TO YOUR CLINIC AND USE IT AS A THERAPEUTIC TOOL.

4D FINGER ANATOMY

The finger is a complex functional unit in which there are many structures that work with surprising balance within a small space. Understanding the details of this anatomy of its kinematics and its kinetics can be very useful for any therapist. The best place to obtain this knowledge is in the dissection room, but no matter how much you want this information, you cannot take it home or show it to your patients.
